How a Society Financially Improves

November 27, 2016

I don't think you can have a coin without two sides.

And this is why I believe two necessary ingredients have been forgotten in America's currently divided socio-eco-political landscape.

Number one, I think we (for decades) have forgotten that entrepreneurship is what drives our economy and communities. Without individuals doing things, we have nothing else.As I've often quoted a friend, "no one can get a job if no one creates a job."

Number two then stems from number one, and also feeds back into number one. As a society, we improve our collective community when we invest back into things that help individuals - ourselves and others - succeed.

I think our current American dialogue is so much about "we vs. them," that it fractures what actually makes a society great.
